How it works
Know the opportunity before you commit to the change.
A defined scope, a fixed fee agreed up front, and a written report you keep whether you continue or not. No open-ended engagement, and no percentage of what we find.
The method
Four stages, fourteen days.
You are involved on the first day and the last. In between there are usually two questions by email.
Access
Read-only
Named platform policies, scoped to the engagement and revocable by you at any moment. Nothing that can change state.
Evidence
Measure
Usage, architecture, licences, contracts and spend, read against twelve months of data rather than a snapshot.
Opportunity
Quantify
Each finding priced, with the effort in hours to capture it and the risk of doing so.
Action
Recover
A roadmap your own engineers can run, or a fixed quote if you'd rather we did the work.
The fee
Fixed, and agreed before we start.
There is no percentage of savings, no hourly creep and no change request for a question you should have been able to ask.
- Fixed fee — quoted after a look at the actual environment, because a 40-person company and a 400-person company are different engagements
- Read-only access — assessment work never needs permission to change anything
- A written report, not a dashboard subscription. You keep it, and nothing expires
- A separate implementation quote, with no obligation to accept it
- No reseller agreements, referral fees or vendor sponsorship on any recommendation
- If the numbers don't justify the fee, you'll hear that on the first call rather than in the report
What lands
One document, ranked by return.
Findings are ordered by dollars returned per hour of work, so you can stop reading when the numbers stop justifying the effort.
Every finding, priced.
Current cost, expected cost after the change, the implementation effort in hours, and the risk of doing it.
What we'd leave alone.
Every report has this section. It establishes the analysis was complete rather than selective, and protects you from a later consultant claiming an easy win that carries hidden cost.
A walkthrough.
One hour together. Usually the most useful part, because the questions your team asks reveal which findings are politically or technically blocked.
Next step
Send one month of billing data.
A cost export and fifteen minutes on a call is enough for us to tell you whether an audit is worth your money. If it isn't, that's a short conversation and it costs nothing.
